Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie:  Dream Count

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is interviewed about her latest novel, Dream Count.  Set during the COVID-19 pandemic, four women are forced to reevaluate their lives, relationships, and conceptions of happiness.  Drawing from real life, it also examines the challenges faced in achieving true justice.  The story's primary protagonist is Chiamaka, a Nigerian travel write living in America.  The other women include her cousin, a best friend, and a housekeeper.

Marie Benedict:  The Queens of Crime

New York Ties bestselling author Marie Benedict is interviewed about her latest novel, The Queens of Crime.  The book explores what could have happened if the five greatest women mystery writers from Britain's Golden Age of Crime -- Dorothy L. Sayers, Agatha Christie, Ngaio Marsh, Margery Allingham, and Baroness Emma Orczy -- joined together to solve a real murder in 1930s London.  In the interview, the author discusses how the book was inspired by a true story in Sayers' own life.
