Our Mission and Goals

The mission of the Jeff Davis County Library is to provide information resources to help fulfill the educational, cultural, and recreational needs of the community in a welcoming and respectful atmosphere.

Our goals are:

To promote literacy and lifelong learning.

To provide a variety of materials to support the library's mission and goals.

To promote the people, culture,  and history of Jeff Davis County through the collection and maintenance of materials and resources, and make them available to the public.

Online catalog & reserves
Interlibrary loan
Programs & classes
for children and adults
Reference desk
Public computers & wifi
Meeting space

Fee-based services:
Printing: b&w, color, 3D

Library cards
JDC residents: free
Texans with TexShare: free
Out of state: $20 per year

Loan periods
Books: 21 days
Audiobooks: 21 days
DVDs: 7 days

Library of Things: 7 days
All materials can be renewed once.

No late fees, but patrons are
responsible for replacing lost
or damaged materials.
