Our Mission and Goal

The mission of the Jeff Davis County Library is to provide quality materials and services in a variety of formats which fulfill the educational, informational, cultural, and recreational needs of the entire community in an atmosphere that is welcoming and respectful.

The Jeff Davis County Library is part of the Texas Trans-Pecos Library System.  It is located at 100 Memorial Square in Fort Davis.  The Public Library provides free and low-cost services to all residents and others in the public library system area.  Visitors are welcome.  Call or visit the library for more information. 

The library has available more than 30,000 materials and participates in an inter-library loan program.

The library offers seven public-access computers, computerized card catalog access and free wi-fi in the library and on the terrace. 

If you cannot make it to the library to renew an item, call, email or log on to your library account. We also have after hours drop-offs outside the building for books and DVDs.
